Time to get serious!

Well, it is time that I got serious about this blogging thing. I have had a lot of things happening lately and could come up with a million excuses not to spend five minutes updating this..but ha! No more excuses.

I will start with the obvious...life around the Reese household. Three words best describe life today. School, work, and kids activities. Let's start with school.

Kaylee, our sweet 6 year old first grader is doing absolutely wonderful with first grade. She continues to get more and more advanced with her spelling, reading, writing, and math. It may have something to do with the 90 to 120 minutes of homework a night. THAT'S RIGHT. About 2 hours of homework every night for a first grader. Way to much in my opinion, but hey, I was not the SAT Wiz Kid.

Okay, now work. What can I say. Up before the chickens, home with the owls. Each day is a challenge working for a home builder in this market. And CNN doesn't help me sleep any better! We have cut back so much at work, we all need a hat rack for the various hats we have to wear. But our sales are up some for September and October and we hope to hold an for the winter. Sonya's work is busy too. Her accounting clients are getting ready for year end. She is finding it harder an harder to focus on all the accounting she does with 2 rug rats at home. And when she is not doing books, she is the kids taxi service. And that brings me to our last topic, kids activities...

Both Kaylee and Courtney have ballet each week, Courtney goes to McEachern Pre-K 3 days a week, Kaylee is at Still all week plus she goes to Sylvan Learning 3 days a week. Her first grade teacher, Mrs. Joiner, has a blog where she posts info about the class that helps us "non-teachers" with the hours of homework.

And now for this weeks picture...
