Happy Halloween

It is that time of year again. Time for tricks and treats. This year we will be handing out AIG and Lehman Brothers stock certificates to all the young Bloomberg Wannabes. I wonder how many McCains, Obmamas, and Palins we see this year. Funny how no one cares about being Biden.

As for politics...I am really over it. I think we need to find some light hearted fum in some of it like hooking up our campaign signs to an electric fence.

I find it odd that I get in the mood to update our blog around this time of year. Makes me wonder why I don't think to do it other times of the year. Maybe it is the planning for the holidays that gets me sentimental. In December, we are heading up to Bryson City, NC to ride the Polar Express with the Wallace family. Should be a blast and I am positive the girls will love it.

Wow...Time Flies!

It has been nearly a year since my last post and at that time I swore I would not let so much time pass between postings. I am not sure where to start as far as updates go, so I will put them down randomly...

Kaylee is a growing, smart, and adorable 7 year old in second grade now. She continues to improve in her reading skills and excels in her math. It is so awesome to see her progressing. We are hopeful that second grade will be a good review year so she can gain some much needed self-confidence.

Sonya has volunteered as room mom for Kaylee's and Courtney's class this year, so check back with me later to see how much hair she has left.

Courtney is in Pre-K and has Kaylee's Pre-K teacher's assistant, Mrs. Brantley. She loves McEachern but misses Jake, her boyfriend from last year.

McKenzie has been adjusting very well to middle school. Started off rocky, but she is doing better now. So glad I am past those days.

We are getting our house painted (as I type) and I hope to have the playhouse finished...that's right, finished in a few weeks. I will post pictures then.

My work is very depressing since we have downsized to only 6 folks. When I posted my last blog update last November, we had about 75.

Check back later for more...
